We like to take a moment on our blog to introduce you to the hardworking people that make up our staff at the Disability Empowerment Center. Today we sit down with Dan Stroup, the Executive Director of DEC.
Dan Stroup is the Executive Director at Disability Empowerment Center. He is married with three adult children. Dan has a Master’s Degree in Community Psychology and BS in Behavioral Sciences, both from Penn State. He has over 30 years of experience helping people with disabilities achieve their hopes and dreams. He has been a direct service professional, program specialist, and various management positions including executive director. Dan has been involved in the creation of 3 nonprofit agencies prior to joining DEC. He has several family members who have a disability including hearing loss, intellectual disability, and diabetes. He is happy to be Captain of our ship!!
