April 18 will be here before we know it and it’s not too early to think about preparing your taxes.  Below we’ve listed some options to get help filing your returns and filing for free.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

With 15 sites around Lancaster County, IRS trained and certified volunteers in United Way of Lancaster County’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program are available to prepare returns for individuals and families earning $62,000 or less. VITA clients save an average of $200 in tax preparation fees through VITA.

Prepare your own taxes for free!

Online self-preparation through submits your federal and state tax forms if you made $62,000 or less.   You will need to fill out and submit your local tax forms separately and can obtain a printed form by calling 717-569-4521 or file online here.
