ADA Compliance Workshop

More than 50 million Americans – 18% of our population – has a disability and each of these individuals can be a potential customer or employee for your business. In 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was passed as a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public.

The Disability Empowerment Center understands that it can be difficult for community leaders, business owners and members of the community to understand the ADA, so we’ve created the DEC Access program as a way to educate the community about the ADA and to help more businesses become Accessible.  Read more about DEC Access, here.

For those unfamiliar with the ADA or looking to expand their knowledge of the ADA and Accessibility standards, we’re offering this two-hour workshop.
